 Kathi has been in and out of the dog world during the last 25 years. Originally having Pomeranians, she obtained her first beagle 9 years ago. Since then she has welcomed a number of additional beagles in her life along with a Sheltie. 

 A few years ago, she was introduced to the sport of Scentwork. With her beagle, Shooter, she was able to obtain the first Scentwork Master Title in AKC history.  

She will be continuing on to obtain the Detective title.

  Taking what is thought to be an unconventional breed she has successfully competed in scentwork along with in Confirmation, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Lure Coursing, Fast CAT, Trick Dog, Canine Fitness, and has even dabbled in Flyball.

 She is a founding member of Rodeo Dog.  Her next goals are to explore what the world of Canine Freestyle and Dock Diving. 

  Her latest endeavor is in the world of breeding. She bred her first litter in 2019 following the principals of breeding for temperament, trainability, and intelligence while preserving the best of what the breed has to offer
